Well, I've finally updated our blog... Our family is doing really well.
Seth is back in school at the U of I and enjoying his classes for the most part.
Weston is doing well trying to figure out toddler life with his big boy bed and most recently potty training. I really don't want to have two kids in diapers so I've attempted the impossible this past week. Most of the time you can find Weston running around without a diaper on or else in the process of taking it off. He has picked up on the idea that a wet/messy diaper is not fun. The other day I thought it was about time for him to go, so I sat him on the potty. Two hours later, he finally went. Then yesterday, I tried to put him down for a nap and in a matter of an hour he changed his diaper four times. He knows exactly how to drive me bonkers.
Other than potty training, I am doing well. I now have five weeks until the big day!!! I am so excited for this baby to get here. I'm trying not to get tired of being pregnant but it's about time for it to end. I can't wait to get back into normal clothes!!!
Hope you all are doing well!!! Enjoy the updates!

Happy Birthday Seth!!!
Wednesday was Seth's 28th Birthday!!! Whenever we tell Weston to say Happy Birthday, he ends up saying "Happy Happy Daddy!!!" I think Weston was more excited than Seth was to open presents and blow out the candles. I love that Weston is finally old enough to be part of the action. Weston and I had fun shopping for presents and then had a quiet little dinner and party with just our family.
Pumpkins!!!
My Uncle Chuck and Aunt Brenda grew a bunch of pumpkins this year and let us come and take a few. Seth and Weston had fun picking out some for our porch and my parent's porch. At first, Weston wanted the smallest, ugliest pumpkin but we convinced him otherwise. We're hoping to carve them next week for FHE.
Transitioning
Weston got a toddler bed for his birthday. He's done a pretty good job transitioning from the crib to the bed but some nights he prefers sleeping on the floor. At times he likes to pull his sheet off his mattress too. Notice that his crib has become a "toy jail" so that he can't play when he's supposed to be sleeping. Yesterday he figured out how to move his bed during nap time and take down the gate in his doorway no matter how high you put it. He's a smart kid.
Weston's First Head Wound
This is Weston's friend, Glow Pooh, and their first head wound. Last week Seth went to an Elders Quorum meeting, leaving me with a cranky Weston. He got upset when I told him he needed a time out and went to dive into the large pillows behind him. Little did he know there was a wooden picture holder with a sharp corner lurking behind the pillow. The corner punctured his head and we both ended up crying. That's what I get for trying to discipline my child. Seth was just a couple of apartments down so I called him and he came running home. I was afraid Weston would need a stitch or two, but it turned out to be a lot less than I thought. Weston is afraid of the pillows now.
More Birthday Fun
Making Weston's Cake
Once we got our kitchen put together, I decided to tackle Weston's cake. I found a really cute airplane cake on cakecentral.com so I decided to attempt it. The only problem...I've never worked with fondant before. I thought all would be well because I found some really good instructions online. Little did I know...fondant is ridiculous and even the marshmallow fondant doesn't taste good. So here's my attempt at a really cute fondant airplane. The cupcakes are clouds.
