Question

Ivan will be eight weeks old tomorrow. How much longer can I use the excuse that I "just" had a baby? I feel like I'm wearing it thin, but a customer commented to me the other day that she just had a baby too. Her baby is seven months old. What do you think? How long does the excuse last?

maybe a year?

I say for as long as it keeps working, keep using it!

Are you talking about an excuse for weight loss (or lack thereof?)? Because, now that Cameron is almost two, I can't really blame the baby weight on her anymore. So, it has changed from "I just had a baby" to "Look, I have three kids. I'll never be skinny again."

I think until they get to the point where they're mobile and playing on their own. Or even when you start them on rice cereal. Eight weeks is still "just had a baby" for sure!
